Heavy parcel fulfillment services
Fulfillment for products 50 to 149 lb from three US warehouses.
Heavier than a checked bag? That's the middle of our range, not the edge of it.ShippingCow is a US third-party logistics provider built for products 50 to 149 lb. Inventory sits in New Jersey, California and Texas, so each order ships from the closest warehouse instead of crossing the country. Parcels up to 149 lb ride parcel rates; 150 lb and above moves as freight.
Why heavy shipping costs so much from one warehouse
Carriers price distance in zones, and on a heavy parcel the zone is most of the bill. A 68 lb box at Zone 8 versus Zone 3 is often the difference between a profitable order and a break-even one. With one warehouse, roughly half your customers are far away by definition.
We split inventory across three coasts so the parcel enters the network near the customer. The audit tells you the split before you commit to it.
Parcel or freight? The line is 150 lb
UPS and FedEx both cap ground parcel service at 150 lb per package. Below that you are on parcel rates, where warehouse placement and zone skipping work. At 150 lb and above you are on freight, where the levers are consolidation, LTL class and accessorials.
A product packed at 145 lb is a parcel product. Plenty of brands are paying freight rates for one.

Questions
Can you handle products in my weight and size range? +
Probably. Our range is 50 to 149 lb per parcel, and the sweet spot is a dense single carton at 71 to 110 lb. Above 149 lb it moves as freight instead of parcel.
What about AHS and oversize fees? +
They apply, and a single box can trigger more than one. We show them as separate lines on your rate.
Do you handle products under 50 lb? +
Yes. Rate tables start at 1 lb.
Do I have to move all my inventory at once? +
No. Most brands start with one node or one category, usually the node closest to their heaviest demand.
