NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J., October 26, 2026. Logistar, the U.S. logistics company behind ShippingCow, today launched Star Talent, a youth empowerment program that brings students inside a working warehouse to learn from the people who run it. Its goal: building the next group of supply chain entrepreneurs, one box at a time. The first stop is Rutgers.

The tour: October 28, at 520 Jersey Ave

  1. Walk a working warehouse

See how goods move from the port to the customer and back again as returns, on the floor of an active warehouse.

  2. Inside the refurbishment center

Watch returned electronics get tested and repaired at the bench, and see how failure data turns into better products.

  3. Jay's talk, then open Q&A

01 · AI and the future of logistics and supply chain. 02 · Why returns refurbishment is a must-have. Then ask him anything.

Your host: founder Jay Li

Jay Li is an electrical engineer. He worked on a U.S. Navy engineering team, and in 2018 he received the Admiral Harold R. Stark Award for Innovation. In 2019 he left that job and started Logistar with two people and 500 square feet of basement. Today Logistar runs more than 400,000 square feet of its own warehouse space in New Jersey, California and Texas, and Jay still walks the warehouse floor every day.

Why now

As technology and AI grow, returns of power stations and other high-value electronics keep rising, and someone has to test, repair and resell them. At Logistar, students see four fast-moving fields in one building: cross-border e-commerce, warehousing and logistics, returns and after-sales, and AI.

Students register in about a minute at www.shippingcow.com/star-talent with their school (.edu) email, and pick a time slot. Spots are limited and every registration is reviewed; each student gets a confirmation email right away and a second email confirming their spot before the tour.
